How personal and commercial usage works for digital products and how to attach license add-ons to your catalog.
What it means
A personal-use file is for your own finished projects. A commercial-use license allows you to sell finished physical or digital end products according to your shop policy.
The cleanest setup is to create separate license add-on products in the admin catalog and tag them with license-related tags so they can surface as upsells.
Recommended setup
Create at least one license add-on product such as Commercial License and another for Extended Commercial License.
Tag those products with tags like license, license-commercial, license-extended, and addon so the storefront can prioritize them in cart upsells.
What customers should see
Show the base product first, then offer the license as an add-on. Keep the terms simple: personal use, small-business use, and extended use.
Link your public terms page and clearly explain whether reselling source files is prohibited.
